Software Profile / HMIS Validator

Bitfocus is currently the awarded contract holder for the Southern Nevada HMIS system. During our administration of this project, we found many tasks that required the development of an external tool to assist in achieving data quality among fields in the HMIS System. The HMIS Validator was born as a solution to this problem.

Since its original development, the HMIS Validator has grown into a project managers dream tool which features functions such as:

Funder Accounts - Stakeholders and Funders of this project can login to review aggregate statistics and data on participating agencies
Agency Accounts - Agency Administrators can login to review staff, data quality, ad demographics statistics on their entered clients
Rulesets - Agencies can define custom Data Validation rulesets for specifics fields they wishing to capture quality on
Staff Statistics - Agencies can analyze their staff utilization patterns and data quality percentages to locate staff members under-utilizing the system
Monthly Utilization Statistics - Analysis of Agencies utilization of the HMIS system
General Aggregate Statistics - View archived and current general demographic reports
Login/Password authentication for login including security levels
Definition of custom CSV source files to import data and specify fields
Agency Administration including counts, utilization, statistics, staff members, data sharing and archives

We are currently in the process of developing v3.0 of the HMIS Validator. The functionality of this version will include:

Data Bridge - Integration of other HMIS Implementations also running the HMIS Validator to bridge and aggregate data seamlessly
Data Importing - Centralized module to handle validation of data and importing into the HMIS Database
Web Site Population - Automated population on web site of specified information directly in real-time from the HMIS Validtor
