Although born and raised on the east coast, Maurice has called Las Vegas, NV home for over 16 years and has proudly served individuals experiencing homelessness within the Las Vegas community for over 13 years. Maurice has worked in a wide variety of roles in service of his community, which has garnered him a unique perspective and ability to truly understand the needs of our community partners. Most notably, after gaining significant experience across many direct service organizations, Maurice started his own small business where he offered consultation to community partners and collaborated to develop unique solutions in order to address complex issues such as access to housing/barriers to housing, housing instability, increasing the community's housing inventory through partnership development, and ensuring the quality standards are met for Emergency Solutions Grants and the Continuum of Care. In tandem with Maurice's Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and his Masters of Arts in Adult Education and Training, Maurice is well prepared to support communities across the country in support of our unhoused neighbors.
