Sarah Dougherty

Director of Professional Services

As Director of the Professional Services Team, Sarah is responsible for overseeing a team of subject matter experts as they manage unique and wide-ranging projects, such as workflow design for case management and coordinated entry systems, community dashboards and data analytics, new customer implementations, and community health checks on HMIS, system administration, and coordinated entry. A key liaison across all of our teams at Bitfocus, Sarah actively collaborates with Bitfocus technical teams in order to continually improve our software products based on feedback from the system administrators who use and manage the software every day. Her expertise and her experience also enable her to facilitate conversations between communities to support knowledge building and cross-community resource sharing. Sarah frequently presents on HMIS and data integration topics at industry conferences such as the National Human Services Data Consortium. Sarah has almost 20 years of experience in the social services sector, in areas including project management, contract monitoring, and funder reporting. The past 10 years have focused on technology leadership and developing technology solutions for service providers. Prior to joining Bitfocus, she served as Director of Information Services at Seattle Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC), one of Seattle/King County's largest homeless response agencies.
