Data Engineer

Sierra is a Data Engineer on the Data Engineering Team, with a Master’s degree in Information Systems from DePaul University. She has a solid technical foundation, specializing in SQL, Python, and R, and is passionate about leveraging data to drive actionable insights and improve business outcomes.

Before transitioning into data engineering, Sierra gained valuable experience as a Technical Support Analyst, where she worked extensively with Federal Reporting, Clarity Features, APIs, and Looker. Her ability to resolve complex technical issues with precision helped streamline processes and improve system functionality, demonstrating her commitment to delivering high-quality support and service.

In addition to her technical expertise, Sierra has a strong background in the social services sector. As a System Analyst for a Continuum of Care (CoC) in Michigan, she collaborated with community partners to ensure data integrity and support data quality assurance efforts. Also, Sierra worked as a Case Manager at an emergency shelter, where she gained firsthand experience in providing critical services to vulnerable populations. This experience deepened her understanding of how data can be used to enhance service delivery and improve outcomes for individuals and families facing homelessness.
